Matt Wells and Crew have been extremely active recently on the recruiting trail. Just last week the Red Raiders landed a commitment from 4-Star RB Cam’Ron Valdez and now, they’ve secured a commitment from Isaac Smith.

Smith a native of Wagoner, OK, is a 6’5 235lbs WDE. He’s ranked as a 3-star recruit on 247 sports and is ranked as the 100th WDE in the country. Smith was committed to Tulsa but flipped to Texas Tech just two weeks after receiving an offer from Coach Wells and Crew.

Smith uses his size and strength to his advantage on the outside. He can bull rush offensive lineman, but he is also quick enough to use his hands to get past the opposition. Here is his highlight tape from last year.

Smith now joins E’maurion Banks, Charles Esters, and Demeco Roland as defensive line commits for Coach Patterson and Texas Tech.
