Texas Tech begins their post season run against instate rival Texas.

The Big 12 tournament is here and Texas Tech will see their first postseason action since 2019 tonight as they look to go for a 3rd win against UT tonight in Kansas City. A win for either team tonight could be huge for seeding but a loss will not hurt either of the teams too much as both are pretty much locks for the NCAA tournament.

Texas: The Longhorns need to focus on establishing an inside game quickly to get shooters open. Two wins in this tournament for UT will likely mean a top 3 seed in the Tournament but a loss could drop them as low as a 7 seed.

Texas Tech: If the Red Raiders want to succeed in march they will need to take open shots when they are given and do a better job defending the three than they did against Baylor. I could see Texas Tech moving up to a 3 seed if they win the tournament but they could fall to a 7 seed with a loss today.
