There are 97 days until the Red Raiders kickoff the 2021 season. Every day, we will be highlighting a different Red Raider based on their jersey numbers. Today, we will be taking a look at defensive lineman Tony Bradford Jr.
The former 3-star recruit from North Shore high school in Houston will play a predominate roll along the defensive line. He started in 8 games last year, only missing 2 games due to injury, and lead the defensive line in tackles and tackles for a loss. He could also see some more time lined up directly over the center as a nose tackle. He will look to build on his All-Big12 honorable mention selection this season.
If the position switch to nose tackle comes to fruition on the fall, Bradford Jr. has the strength to be the center of the defensive line attack.
Not only will Bradford Jr. be a force for opposing offensive lines to deal with, but he has also demonstrated he can wield a tortilla with the best of them.
Tony isn’t just turning heads on the field, but has been looking to make change off of it. He flatly has said “I want to be the change.” This young man has big aspirations, and is already taking steps to achieve those goals of his.
