Two of Texas Tech’s infielders were just named All-Americans by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. Jace Jung and Cal Conley were named at the top of their positions in all of College Baseball.
Jung was also named Big 12 Player of the Year and named to the All-Big 12 First Team. In addition to that, Jung was named the Guns Up Nation Hitter of the Year and the Guns Up Nation MVP. He hit .342 during the regular season and slugged 20 home runs and drove in 65 runs, both team highs. His play at second base has been excellent as well as Jung has only six errors on the season and a fielding rate of 97%.
Cal Conley was also named to the All-Big 12 First Team, hitting .337 with 70 hits, the second-most on the team. He hit 13 home runs this season and had 52 RBI, both good for second on the team behind Jung. Conley was named the Guns Up Nation Clutch Player of the Year as well.
