Managing Editor Jacob Harris recently spoke to Terian Williams II about his recruitment and visit to Lubbock! Their conversation is below!
Question: Describe your recruitment to me!
Williams: Recruiting has been very busy. I am glad that athletes were able to visit this June and meet the coaches in person.
Question: Describe your visit to me!
Williams: The visit went great. I was able to create a better bond with the whole coaching staff and get insight from the players how they like it there.
Question: What about the Texas Tech Coaching Staff stood out to you?
Williams: The family bond with the coaching staff stood out to me. Can tell that the coaches care about the players.
Question: Which coach at Texas Tech have you been in contact with the most?
Williams: Coach Jones, Hodges, Pehrson, and Coach Wells all keep in contact at least once a week.
Question: What position do you play?
Williams: Defensive back, Kick return, and Punt return.
Question: What is your biggest attribute on the field?
Williams: My leadership and versatility on the field are my biggest attributes.
Question: What is something you’re working on this summer to make your game better?
Williams: This summer I am focusing my press man to man coverage.
Question: What other visits do you play to take this summer?
Williams: I will visit Stanford June 19-21, and will take my last 2 official visits during the season.
Question: What would an offer from Texas Tech mean to you?
Williams: The offer from Texas Tech was special because Coach Jones is one of the best DB coaches in the country.
Question: Who is your biggest mentor?
Williams: My biggest mentor would have to be my Dad he is a hard worker. He as instilled that in me and is very supportive.
