Managing Editor Jacob Harris recently caught up with Winthrop Transfer Adonis Arms. Arms averaged 10.6 points per game this last season for the Eagles while only playing 17 minutes per contest. Here is our conversation:

Question: What has your recruitment been like with COVID?

Arms: “All Zoom calls and very different from normal.”

Question: What has been your favorite part of recruiting?

Arms: “All of the unexpected interest I have received through this process.”

Question: Who at Texas Tech has been most in contact with you and what is your relationship with them like?

Arms: “Coach Adams, Coach Peery, and Coach Sutton. My relationship with each one of them is different but I feel like I can talk to them freely and we have a two-way window of communication.”

Question: What stands out about Texas Tech to you?

Arms: “Coach Peery actually recruited me when he was at Portland St and now he’s at Texas Tech. The facilities are incredible as well and we have a vision we both agree with and talk about.”

Question: What other schools are you interested in?

Arms: “Iowa St, University of Arkansas, University of Portland, Nicholls State, BYU, and Pacific.”

Question: What are you looking for in a program?

Arms: “Trust, Opportunity, and Exposure.”

Question: What skills do you bring to the court?

“I can do a lot of everything.”

Question: Who do you model your game after and why?

Arms: “Kobe Bryant, Tracy McGrady, Kevin Durant, and Paul George. Kobe Bryant rest in peace. He was my favorite player that I’ve ever seen play and the rest of these guys are just DOGS.”

Question: Anything else you want Red Raider Nation to know about you?

“I’m always smiling, love to play Fortnite and I love Crab Legs!”

We want to thank Adonis Arms for taking the time to sit down with us. He would be a solid addition to this Red Raider roster for the upcoming season!
