Former Texas Tech star 3B, Josh Jung, was named to the 60-man player pool for the Texas Rangers. Jung was the 8th overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft after having historic success at the hot corner while in the 806.
Jung is part of the Rangers expanded roster due to the COVID-19 virus and no minor league season taking place in 2020. While not being a part of the 40-man roster, Jung does have the opportunity to get meaningful experience with reps and being around the big league club.
The only way Jung would be able to make his MLB debut this season is if the Rangers added him to the 40-man roster. Jung is ranked as the #55 prospect in baseball and the #1 prospect in the Rangers farm system.
