According to NCAAF SOS (Strength of Schedule), the Red Raiders are projected to have the 52nd most difficult schedule in the country. The 52nd SOS of schedule ranking put the Red Raiders with the weakens schedule in the conference for the 2020 season.

2020 will be telling for the Red Raiders as they look to bounce back from a disappointing 2019 where 1st year Head Coach Matt Wells and Crew went 4-8. The Red Raiders are set to welcome back starting QB Alan Bowman and other key contributors on offense. The defense will take a hit by losing starting NFL 1st round pick, LB Jordyn Brooks. They will get Adrain Frye back healthy and playing his natural position of CB after moving to Safety last season due to team needs.

Tech has a chance to surprise some people due to the way the roster is constructed and the way he schedule lays out. tech will only have to play one road game from Sept 12th to Oct 24th and that will be in Ames, Iowa on Sept 26th. This year will be telling for Matt Wells and Crew as they try to lay more of the foundation to the program. A lot of talent to work with, but will 2020 be the year Tech takes a step forward.

Here’s how the rest of the Big 12 ranks nationally for SOS in 2020 according to sportsbettingdime.com
