Russian 7-Footer Vladislav Goldin Chooses Texas Tech

Chris Beard and staff have added another key piece to their already nationally ranked top-10 recruiting class by signing up Vladislav Goldin, a 7-foot-1 center from Nalchik, Russia. Goldin has played for the Russian U18 and U19 National Teams and played one year in the states at Putnam Science Academy. This will be the fourth year in a row that the Red Raiders have signed a player from PSA.

In 2018-2019, Goldin averaged 10 PPG, 5.3 RPG, and 1.3 APG in four games with U18 CSKA Moscow during the Adidas Next Generation Tournament regular season. He also played in 13 games at the U18 Euro Championship and U19 World Cup in 2019. Goldin helped lead Putnam Science Academy to a co-national championship this season with the final being canceled due to COVID-19.

In his last game for PSA he chipped in 10 points, five rebounds, and two blocks. Goldin will be expected to come in to be a presence down-low and help the back-line defensively.
