Former Texas Tech star QB and NFL MVP and Super Bowl champion, Patrick Mahomes, was ranked as the 4th best player in the NFL according to his peers.
Mahomes, 24, just led the Chiefs to their 1st Super Bowl appearance in 50 years and won the Chiefs their 2nd championship in franchise history. The other came in 1970 in Super Bowl IV, the fourth and final AFL-NFL World Championship Game.
The voting goes as followed, all players receive a ballot. Each player would list only his top 20 players in the league; the top-ranked player earned 20 points, the second-ranked player earned 19 points, and so forth this according to sportscasting.com.
The news didn’t get past Mahomes, as soon as he was named #4, he tweeted this.
