Saturday the Texas Tech Red Raiders will open up the 2020 season and game day in Lubbock will look anything but normal. The Jones will be at 25% capacity and the tailgating scene will look more like that of a high school football game as Texas Tech has banned all large tailgates. However, the product on the field should look good against an HBU team that just lost by 26 to North Texas. If you do find yourself wanting to check out the action this weekend here is what you need to know.

Time: Saturday, September 12th at 7PM CT

Where: Jones AT&T Stadium Lubbock, Texas.

TV Network: Big 12 Now on ESPN+ ($5.99 per month subscription required)

Radio (Lubbock): KTTU-FM* 97.3 & KJTV-AM* 950

Odds: TTU -39.5 (ESPN)

Disappointed to hear my San Angelo guy QB Maverick McIvor has had an inconsistant camp and not pushed for the starting spot as Coach Wells had expected. He has held on to the backup for now. Playing QB at this level is a huge step up no matter how talented one is. I have complete faith that McIvor will make big improvements real soon. Pulling for my Hometown guy #8!
