Texas Tech Basketball has become a transfer hub, from Tariq Owens and Matt Mooney to the wildly anticipated debut of Mac McClung. There were a few talented transfers in this past class for Texas Tech and one of the bigger names was Jamarius Burton.

Burton is a transfer combo guard from Wichita State whereas a sophomore for the Shockers, he averaged a stat line of 10/3.5/3.4. His shooting percentages were okay as he shot 45.9% from the field and 38.1% from three. The three-point percentage is great, it did however come on just over two attempts per game.

His role with the Shockers was to create in transition and off the drill. He had to create space for himself and others as he was the main playmaker for Wichita State last season. As a Red Raider he will be asked to do the same, but with much better playmakers surrounding him. This will make his job much easier and allow him to create more space.
