Texas Tech Picked to Finish 5th in Big 12 Preseason Poll

The preseason Big 12 poll was just released and the Red Raiders were picked to finish 5th.

Baylor and Kansas led the way in votes with 79 and 73 respectively while West Virginia was projected 3rd with 61 votes. While the Longhorns were picked to finish 4th in the conference with 58 votes.

The Red Raiders received 53 votes and received 14 more than the next closest opponent, Oklahoma, with 39.

Texas Tech has one of the deepest rosters in the country potentially having 11-12 contributors. They welcome in grad transfer Marcus Santos Silva, transfer Mac McClung (still needs waiver) and Burton (received waiver) while also bringing in the highest ranked class in program history.
