On Tuesday evening The #15 Red Raiders will make their way to Norman to take on The Sooners. Oklahoma will be looking to get their first win against a ranked opponent while Texas Tech is attempting to get their first win in Big 12 play.

The Sooners have accumulated 5 wins over their first 6 games with their lone loss being a 22 point road loss to Xavier. On December 6th OU opened Big 12 play with a close back and forth battle with TCU. Outside of those 2 games, Oklahoma has dominated their other 4 opponents winning every game by at least 14 points.

Moving on to Coach Kruger’s starting 5, Coach typically runs a line up of 3 guards and 2 forwards (4 of 5 starters are seniors). Let’s get started with the Sooners most talented scorer, 6’9 forward Brady Manek shoots a team-best 45% from three and averages 16.7 PPG while also grabbing around 5 RPG. The next best scorer is guard Austin Reaves who averages 16.3 PPG while shooting an average of 35% from 3, surprisingly the 6’5″ guard leads the team in rebounds with 5.3 RPG. De’vion Harmon is the only other player that averages 10 or more points per game (11.0), he also shoots around 35% from deep. The final 2 players in the Sooners starting lineup average around 8 PPG and 5 RPG, one being an interior forward Kur Kuath and the other is mid-range specialist Alondes Williams.

Coach Beard’s crew should expect to come out of Norman with their first conference win of the season so long as they can avoid taking bad shots early in possessions along with playing the tough defense they have all season. For Oklahoma to win they will need to focus on keeping Texas Tech from finding a rhythm on offense while continuing to stay out of foul trouble. Find out how to catch all of tonight’s action below:
