BREAKING: Nimari Burnett has Left Texas Tech Men’s Basketball Program

The Freshman guard steps away from the program

In stunning news, the first McDonalds All-American in Texas Tech Men’s Basketball program history is leaving the program.

Burnett was averaging 5.3 points and 1.8 rebounds per game and was one of the conference leaders in steals per game with 1.4 per game.

Burnett was thought to have one and done appeal this season for the Red Raiders but has struggled out of the gate. According to The Athletic, Burnett still plans to play college basketball next season in hopes of entering the 2022 NBA Draft.

Do we really really want one & done kinda players? I mean yeah, of course, but they bring to us other issues as well. Team first!!!!!
