The Red Raiders will head to Ames as they look to avoid giving the Cyclones their first conference win. Texas Tech will come into the game with 1 fewer player than they did against KSU, as backup guard Nimari Burnett has left their program(second player to leave this season).
Iowa State comes into today’s game with a conference play record of 0-4 in conference play but to be fair 3 of those games were to ranked opponents. While Texas Tech comes in with an even 2-2 record losing to Kansas and OSU while winning against KSU and Oklahoma.
Coach Steve Prohm runs a starting lineup featuring 2 forwards and 3 guards, they are a very well balanced team with 4 of their starters averaging over 10 PPG. For Coach Beard, the starting lineup is a bit more in question. After Terrence Shannon Jr came off the bench last game, who Texas Techs starting lineup is anyone’s guess.
For Texas Tech to win in Ames they need to defend the paint well and stay out of foul trouble. For the Cyclones, they will need to shoot better from deep because being a one-dimensional offense against a Coach Beard defense will likely bear ugly results. Find out how to catch all the action below:
