Texas Tech defensive back Adam Beck has entered the transfer portal after three seasons of playing in Lubbock. Beck is one of many college football players to hit the transfer portal this offseason. He made the decision public via his Instagram.
Beck was a three-star recruit coming out of George Ranch High School in Rosenberg, Texas. He originally committed to play for Major Applewhite at Houston in 2016 before de-committing two months later. Beck then committed to Texas Tech before de-committing again and eventually signing with Minnesota as a part of the Class of 2017. After just one season, Beck transferred to play for Kingsbury at Texas Tech.
He sat out Kingsbury’s final season in Lubbock in 2018. Beck decided to stay around for the beginning of the Matt Wells era in Lubbock. Over the past two seasons, Beck has played in 16 games, amassing 61 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, and two pass deflections. We wish Beck the best of luck in his future endeavors.
This is a surprise, coming just prior to Spring Practice. But, may he find a good landing spot.
