Texas Tech Football Announces Jersey Numbers for Newcomers

The Texas Tech Football Program announced jersey numbers for the newcomers to the team via their social media pages today. The following Tweet shows each newcomer’s number.

Here are some highlights from the Jersey Number reveal:

Behren Morton – Quarterback, 2

Morton was a highly-rated recruit out of Eastland, Texas. He was most likely going to compete for the quarterback job until the Red Raiders signed Oregon Transfer Tyler Shough.

Marquis Waters – Defensive Back – 8

Waters is a graduate transfer safety from Duke. He re-joins former position coach and current defensive backs coach Derek Jones. This transfer will look to get immediate playing time at safety this season.

T.J. Storment – Offensive Line – 51

Storment is another graduate transfer, this one from Big 12 Rival TCU. He will be playing for his fourth college as he suited up at Old Dominion, Fullerton College, Colorado State, and TCU before signing with Texas Tech. Storment will help the offensive line by lining up at offensive tackle this season.
