It was announced today by Mark Adams that prized recruit Jaylon Tyson will re-open his recruitment and potentially sign somewhere else. This is not shocking after Chris Beard left Lubbock and took his best recruiter Ulric Malagi with him. Tyson is expected to keep Texas Tech in mind for his recruitment.
Tyson is a four-star prospect according to 247 Sports, and is the 35th highest ranked prospect in the 2021 Recruiting Class. He was the only freshman recruit to have signed with Texas Tech in the 2021 Recruiting Class. We wish him nothing but the best in the future and hope he makes the best decision for him.
