The Red Raiders keep losing players from last season’s team. Center and fan-favorite Vlad Goldin has entered the transfer portal. Goldin was a reserve player, but showed flashes of promise when he played this season. He only averaged 1.9 points and 1.0 rebounds per game, but played important minutes down the stretch for this team.
Goldin was a project player out of Russia and I believe he could have turned into a solid center at the Division One level, if given time to develop. He will now look elsewhere to continue his college career and will no longer be in a Red Raider uniform.
We wish Vlad Goldin the best of luck as he finds his new basketball home.
