Another domino has fallen for Texas Tech basketball. Guard Jamarius Burton will enter the transfer portal and join a new team. This comes after one season in Lubbock that was disappointing at best. He averaged 4.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assist per game in 19 minutes off the bench for the Red Raiders.
Burton was highly touted coming out of Wichita State where he averaged double-digit scoring in 2019. He did not fit well into Chris Beard’s motion offense. Burton often looked out of place and confused with the ball in his hands. He originally wanted to sit out last season to work on his game but decided to play anyway.
We wish Jamarius Burton the best of luck as he looks for his next home.
