There are 92 days until the Red Raiders take the field against the Houston Cougars. Every day, we will be highlighting a different Red Raider based on their jersey number. Today, we will be taking a look at defensive lineman L.B. Moore.
L.B. Moore is entering his second season as a Red Raider after spending his freshman year as a member of the scout team. Moore comes from right up the road in Amarillo, playing his high school football at Tascosa. He helped lead his team to back-to-back appearances in the state quarterfinals his junior and senior seasons and totaled 180 tackles and 17 sacks in the two years.
Moore was a tackle-for-loss and sack machine in high school, something the defensive line will be looking to replace after losing Eli Howard to the NFL. A consensus three-star prospect out of high school, Moore has an opportunity to see time on the field this year after redshirting in the 2020 season.
