The Red Raiders get their second commit for the Class of 2022 after the DeSoto product announced today that he will be taking his talents to Lubbock, this is another big get for Coach Adams and his staff.

Jennings is the second commit for the Class of 2022 with 4-Star Guard Pop Pop Isaacs being the first. Jennings is currently ranked as the #194 in the country, as well as the 16th player in Texas and 29th PF.

He was also recently invited to the prestigious Wooten Top 150 showcase. This is a very special honor considering that only 100 seniors get the invitation. It will show as an evaluation for the McDonald’s All-American game.

It was reported a few days ago that he narrowed his Top-6 to just Texas Tech and Missouri. Jennings is a rising star who if he continues to show out, could get that fourth star added to his name.

Just by watching a few of his highlights, you can tell the type of guys Adams and his staff are targeting in recruiting. He is a very lengthy, athletic guy. Jennings really knows how to use his size to get to the rim. He can certainly use his strength to slam it down with authority once he gets there.

Jennings is just the type of guy that can turn into an absolute star for Tech with the right development and coaching. He already has a unique skill set and athleticism to make an immediate impact once he’s here.

He has good post moves to maneuver his way to the basket. Once he gets into the program and Coach Rich has a chance to work with him for a few months in the weight room, he will be a force to reckon with.

One thing that impresses me the most is that he can take the ball at the top of the key and use really good ball-handling skills to get to the basket. He has the strength to finish through the contact and lay it in.

He has a nice mid-range jumper, he likes to get to the basket, but if needed he can step out to take that 15-foot shot.

Coach Adams is just getting started with these two guys and is hoping to add more but he couldn’t have asked for a better start than to get commits from these two guys.

Red Raider should be excited for this guy and the potential he has. The ceiling is high for him and should be an impact player the minute he steps foot on campus!
