Texas Tech Football commit John Curry recently came to Texas Tech’s summer camp for high school athletes. His interview with Jacob Harris is below:

Describe your visit to Texas Tech in a couple of sentences.

I had a great time learning from my future coaches. I enjoyed the camp’s environment and the juice that the place had.

Describe the Coaching Staff at Texas Tech.

The coaching staff is great they teach you everything and ensure you understand what you are doing.

Describe Joey McGuire in 5 words or less.

Energetic and Loud.

Who from Texas Tech has been in contact with you the most and what is that relationship like?

All the coaches have talked to me but the one I speak to the most is probably Coach Bookbinder. We have a great relationship and we already understand each other quite well.

What about Texas Tech stands out to you?

I have lived in Lubbock my whole life and I have never seen such an invested fan base for football as it has been since Coach Mcguire has come to Lubbock.

What are you looking for in a College Program?

One that will be successful and have a great environment.

What did an offer from Texas Tech mean to you?

It meant everything, since I was a little kid I dreamed of running through that tunnel at the Jones.

What skills do you bring to the field?

I am physical in the run game and I’m blitzing and will man up on a receiver and cover them which makes me very versatile.

What are some things you are working on this summer?

Gaining weight and getting stronger.

Who do you model your game after? Why?

Izaiah Kelly, went to my high school and played my position, and is now at SMU.

Guns Up Nation thanks John Curry for his time and effort with this interview. Guns Up!
