Texas Tech football gets some much-needed depth through the transfer portal, the Red Raiders announced Monday that they’ve added former Texas A&M DL, Tyree Wilson.
Wilson, a 6’6 260 lbs DE from New London, Texas, entered the transfer portal way back in February. Due to COVID-19, his decision was delayed, but he decided to stay in-state and head west to the 806.
During his time in College Station, Wilson made an impact on limited snaps. In the five games he played as an RS FR, Wilson had 12 tackles (7 solo), 3 TFL, and 1.5 sacks. Wilson has been practicing with the Red Raiders since Friday, August 21st. He is expected to apply for an NCAA waiver that would allow him for immediate eligibility. He currently has three years of eligibility remaining.
