Junior Outside Hitter, Brooke Kanas, has been named to the All-Big 12 Preseason Team for the second year in a row.
The New Braunfels, TX native, and Canyon H.S. alum has made an instant impact since becoming a Red Raider. As a freshman, Kanas was named Big 12 rookie of the week twice and was a member of the All-Big 12 freshman team in 2018. As a sophomore, Kanas had an increased role and was third on the Red Raiders in kills.
“Congratulations to Brooke on her preseason selection,” Head coach Tony Graystone had this to say about Kanas making the All-Big 12 preseason team, “Congratulations to Brooke on her preseason selection,” said Graystone, “She’s a big part of our offense and I know she’s going to have a great season.”
Kanas and the Red Raiders will look to build upon their 17-13 record in 2019 where they closed out the regular season by winning three of their last four contests.
