Patrick Mahomes and the reigning Super Bowl Champion, Kansas City Chiefs, put up their Super Bowl Banner in Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday night.

The Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 31-20 in Miami back in February. This was their first time in the Super Bowl in five decades for the Chiefs.

On Thursday night, Mahomes and the Chiefs opened the long-awaited 2020 season with a win over the Texans by a score of 34-20. Mahomes and rookie RB, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, led the way for the Chiefs as Mahomes had what seems to be his automatic 3 TD’s, while CEH had a stellar debut leading the Chiefs in rushing with 138 yards and a TD.

The last time these two teams had played prior to Thursday night, the Texans went out to a 24-0 lead only to have the Chiefs come back and defeat them by a score of 51-31 back on January 12th at Arrowhead in the AFC Divisional Round.

Mahomes will look to continue his magic in Week 2 when the Chiefs head to LA to play the Chargers at their new home in Inglewood, CA, SoFi Stadium.
