Tennis: The Texas Tech tennis team made the short trip down to Midland, TX this weekend, and picked up some wins as well. Franco Ribero and Ilgiz Valiev both won 3 matches for the weekend with Franco winning the second back draw bracket and Ilgiz making it to the semi-finals in Doubles and the quarter-finals in singles. Connor Johnson Won 2 matches and Demetris Azoides won one match.

Football: Texas Tech picked up the win in Lubbock on Saturday night against HBU but it was an ugly one, winning by only 2 points after being favored by almost 40 points. Texas Techs secondary looked absolutely terrible allowing HBU QB to Bailey Zappe to pass for 567 yards and 4 TDs, they will need to make big improvements before we start Conference play in 2 weeks. However a win is a win and it puts the Red Raiders at 1-0 on the year which is more than ISU, KSU and KU can say after all 3 dropped their only non-conference game of the year. Texas Tech is set to take on Texas in two weeks in Lubbock.

There were only 2 sporting events to cover for the Red Raiders this weekend but look forward to next weekend when Soccer and Volleyball look to get moving.
