In a move that many figured would happen, Texas Tech Head Coach announced on Wednesday during his Signing Day press conference that Senior WR, T.J. Vasher will move on and start training for NFL Draft.

Thought to be the next star WR for the Red Raiders, things never really seemed to completely workout for T.J. in the 806. He struggled with injuries and consistency in his time in Lubbock and struggled in the classroom as well, but worked hard on his academics and his game and managed to get back on the field.

While on the field, Vasher racked up 146 catches for 1983 yards in 37 games as a Red Raider. He made spectacular catches like this one,

However, he seemed to struggle with consistency. That was due in part to the injuries noted above, but also going through a coaching change and having to learn a new system.

At one point earlier in the season, Vasher was being projected to be a second day (Rounds 2-3) pick in the NFL Draft. The now-former Texas Tech WR will look to continue the great Tech WR tradition in the NFL.
