BREAKING NEWS: Mark Adams hires Portland State Head Coach Barret Peery

Mark Adams has made his first hire as the new Head Coach of the Texas Tech Men’s Basketball Team. Portland State Head Coach, Barret Peery, has been named the Associate Head Coach of the program, according to many sources.

Peery has coached at the Division One level for nearly twenty years and has had plenty of Head Coaching experience. He led both Indiana Hills Community College and Southern Idaho to the NJCAA National Tournament. He is known for his suffocating full-court press defense and fast-paced offense. The Red Raiders will use principles of his coaching philosophy this upcoming season.

This is an exciting hire for the Red Raiders. The slow pace of play infuriated fans at times the past few seasons and this is an opportunity to rectify that. The athletic make-up of this roster allows it to run this fast-paced style of offense. Welcome to Lubbock, Coach Peery!

Fantastic hire! His added defensive input and offensive teaching should be a great benefit for Coach Adams and the team.
