We recently sat down with Pflugerville Wide Receiver Sidney Mbanasor about his recruitment and his visit to Texas Tech. Mbanasor is the brother of current Texas Tech defensive lineman Nelson Mbanasor. Our conversation is below:

Question: Describe your visit to me.

Mbanasor: That visit was eye opening. I loved the coaching staff and the players of how welcoming and how much of a family they are.

Question: What about the Texas Tech Staff stood out to you?

Mbanasor: Their joy for the game all the coaches looked high spirited and ready to teach players.

Question: What are you looking for in a program?

Mbanasor: A program who is family first and a program that can overcome adversity and just keep pushing with good amounts of success.

Question: What would an offer from Texas Tech mean to you?

Mbanasor: A offer from them would be a true blessing. Not only that my brother Nelson Mbanasor attends the school and also plays football. Just seeing him play in the red and black and just always following his footsteps had brought me closer to the school as a whole.

Question: What other camps/ schools are you visiting this summer?

Mbanasor: I have Texas A&M commerce on the 8th, Texas A&M on the 11th, and UTSA on the 17th.

Question: What was your favorite thing about Lubbock?

Mbanasor: Getting to be around all those players and just the environment was a beautiful thing.

Question: Who is your biggest mentor?

Mbanasor: My Father Peter Mbanasor and my two brothers PJ and Nelson Mbanasor.

Question: Anything else you want Red Raider Nation to know about you?

Mbanasor: Red Raider Nation is a unique different atmosphere and I’d love to be apart of that any day!

We want to thank Sidney for his time and effort with this interview! Guns Up!

Sydney could be a great player for Texas Tech. He certainly has good bloodlines.
