Talk about an inside presence, at 6’5 Tofaeono will look to make her impact and herself known on the block and in the paint in the Big 12 this season!

She will be transferring from Texas A&M with two years of eligibility remaining for the Lady Raiders. Appeared in 16 games for the Aggies during the 2020-21 season, leading the team in field goal percentage with a 75%. She averaged 4.0 minutes per game, recorded 1.3 points and 1.7 rebounds.

Before A&M she attended Midland College where she spent three years. She had plenty of honors as she was named to the NJCAA All-American Third Team, First Team All-WJCAC, and NJCAA All-Region V Team to complete her JUCO career. She averaged 10.6 boards per game as a sophomore, which ranked No. 12 among JUCO players nationally, and also scored 14.6 points per game on 60 percent shooting.

She is currently the tallest Lady Raider on the team, and I’d expect her to be a solid depth piece in the center position behind Hadi Faye. I think her biggest impact will be felt on the glass, which will benefit the Lady Raiders greatly.

This roster and team are really starting to shape up and Tech fans should be excited to see what Coach Gerlich and her staff can do to develop Tofaeono. People may be sleeping on the Lady Raiders, but they will certainly compete this season and make some noise!
