There’s Landon Peterson Days Until Football

There are 72 days until the Red Raiders take the field against the Houston Cougars. Every day, we will be highlighting a different Red Raider based on their jersey number. Today, we will be taking a look at Offensive Lineman, Landon Peterson.

Peterson is entering his third season with the team as a Redshirt Sophomore. He comes from nearby Odessa, Texas, where he played his high school ball at Permian High School. In 2019, Peterson made an appearance in the UTEP game, but was otherwise a member of the practice squad while redshirting. Last season, he served as a reserve on the offensive line and was a member of the field goal unit. 

Landon Peterson was a three-star recruit and ranked 66th overall by 247Sports at his position in 2019. With some expected shuffling up front this year after a mix of departures and newcomers, Peterson is in line for an increase in playing time this year. He could be in line for a very productive season after making incremental improvements each of the last two years heading into this fall.
