Lady Raiders Look to Stay Undefeated Against Lamar

The Lady Raider basketball program will look to stay undefeated against Lamar University at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19 at the United Supermarkets Arena.

Tech is 2-0 through its first two games this season after wins against Southeastern Louisiana and Weber State over the past week, according to Tech Athletics.

Lamar is 1-2 heading into Lubbock as New Mexico and Mississippi defeated them by substantial margins, according to Lamar Sports.

Tech freshman guard Rhyle McKinney is the team’s leading scorer through her first two games. McKinney is averaging 18 points per game and is 4-for-6 from three-point range on the season, according to Tech Athletics. McKinney scored 21 points against Weber State on Tuesday.

Lamar sophomore guard Sabria Dean is averaging 16.3 points per game in her three games on the season, according to Lamar Athletics. Dean is shooting 58% from beyond the arc this season.

The matchup between the teams is the first since 2012 and third all-time, according to Tech Athletics. Tech won both matchups by more than 20 points.

The game will be televised via Big 12 Now on ESPN+ for subscribers.
