Lady Raiders Fall to Oklahoma State in Stillwater

The Lady Raiders fall to the Cowgirls in Stillwater 74-86, extending a 3-year-long losing streak against Oklahoma State. This loss moves their conference record 3-6 and 15-7 overall. Bryn Gerlich led the team with 25 points. Rhyle McKinney, Jasmine Shavers, and Katie Ferrell each had 5 rebounds and three Lady Raiders ended the game in double figures. 

The Lady Raiders battled turnovers early with more than half a dozen in the first 10 minutes of play

Rhyle McKinney started off with two three-pointers to get things started on the offensive front and the Lady Raiders battled their way to tie it up at 22 at the end of the first quarter.

The Cowgirls led going into halftime 44-36 pulling away from the Lady Raiders.

The Lady Raiders came out swinging in the 3rd quarter but trailed 55-61 going into the 4th. Bryn Gerlich kept the Lady Raiders in the game, finishing the third with 16 points. 

Gerlich continued to shoot lights out going into the 4th with an deep three-pointer to bring the Lady Raiders within striking distance. Gerlich’s and-one also gave the Lady Raiders their first lead of the half with just under 8 minutes to go. 

Major foul trouble in the 4th loomed over the heads of the Lady Raiders as multiple players had 4 fouls including leading scorer Bryn Gerlich. Bre’Amber Scott and Katie Ferrell eventually fouled out of the game

The Lady Raiders now turn their attention to K-State back in Lubbock this Sunday at 1 pm.
