23 members of the Texas Tech Football team have tested positive for COVID-19. 21 of those members have recovered from the virus. Tech has the members in isolation for 10-days and those with close contact have been asked to self-quarantine for 14 days.
None of the members required hospital care and 197 total tests were administered according to Matt Dowdy of Texas Tech Athletics.
Just over a week ago, multiple members of the Texas Tech Men’s Basketball program tested positive for the virus as well.
This will be a fluid situation for every school and not only their athletes but their students as well.
