Jazmaine Lewis Brings Physicality and Height to Lady Raiders

Jazmaine Lewis is a new addition to the Lady Raiders roster by way of the transfer portal from the University of Houston. The 6’4 Center spent three years with the Cougars. She saw action in 68 games, including 17 starts.

She averaged 3.4 points per game and 2.4 rebounds in her career in Houston. As a freshman, Lewis appeared in 28 games for the Cougars. She set a career-high of 8 points against Wichita State, one of which tied the game. Lewis made 17 starts in her sophomore year. She recorded a double-double against Tulsa on January 13, 2021.

Lewis joins a talented recruiting class coming to Lubbock this fall and will bring some elements to the team that is much needed, including size and physicality. As a center, she will add depth with Senior Ella Tofaeono
