Anderson’s Two Goal Performance Earns Her Player of the Week

The Red Raiders swept the competition this week going 2-0 versus Cal State Fullerton and UTSA. The entire team played well but our Player of the Week goes to Junior Defender Hannah Anderson.

In the first game versus Cal State Fullerton, Anderson did not record any goals in the 2-1 victory. She did however play every minute of the game and showed solid defense throughout. Anderson and the Red Raider defense have only allowed 2 goals in the 6 matches they have played on the season.

In Sunday’s game versus UTSA, Anderson had an astonishing two goals on two shots. You would expect that type of accuracy in a forward in soccer, but Anderson was able to contribute to the 3-0 victory on both ends. The Red Raiders are back in action Thursday, September 9th in the Wildcat Invitational against Arizona. The team also plays No. 21 Arizona State on Sunday. Wreck Em!
